Meringandan is a small town 20 km north of Toowoomba in Queensland, Australia. It contains 2 parks; it is also the gateway to Cooby Dam. Meringandan has 1 small school and is near Highfields. It has an annual rodeo where many people gather. The name Meringandan is derived from 2 aboriginal words morin(fire) and gandan(clay), thus Meringandan means place of fire and clay.
